April Cottage is situated in Ifield Village, Sussex, an historical village which is mentioned in the Doomsday Book. The guest house is approximately a 10 minute drive from London Gatwick Airport.

We are within walking distance of the local train station which offers fast access by train to both London and Brighton.

There are local shops, a church and theatre all within the village to provide our guests with all the facilities that they would require. We also have a range of pubs and restaurants within a short walk of the guest house which includes:

Two traditional English pubs. Both provide an extensive menu.
Zari, a contemporary Indian Restaurant which provides food to a very high standard.
Chinese take-away.
Traditional Fish and Chip shop.

Ifield Barn Theatre celebrated its 30th year in 2003. The Theatre is located in a 13th Century barn, complete with original exposed Oak beams in the auditorium. As members we would love to take you on a guided tour, we could even include a look back stage!

Crawley Town centre is about 5 minutes by car and offers superior shopping facilities which meet the requirements of all but the most hardy shopper.

There are many local places of interest which can be visited by a short train or car ride. These include National Trust properties, Borde Hill, Leonardslee Gardens and Devils Dyke.
